UDK, released at the end of 2009. is the FREE version of the unreal engine that at the moment is constantly being updated and new functions are brought to the public. Tho UDk is a ‘Game’ engine, it has been used and is currently in the process of being used for many other occupations for training or use as virtual environment creation or simulations. The unreal engine has been used in many games, including Borderlands, Bioshock and the Ball, and many upcoming titles such as Bulletstorm.
