Tech gadgets that should be wireless besides the iPhone 7

With the wireless revolution in mind, here are some of the tech gadgets that also deserve a wireless treatment, not only to simplify your iPhone 7 experience, but to further advance the wireless experience agenda and finally take advantage of the maximum wireless technology. all the gadgets we can for our comfort.

Wireless charging of laptops and PCs

If its smaller counterpart, smartphones, can do it, how much more can laptops and desktops? Standard computers are of a size that technological innovation could easily exploit. So there’s really no reason why it shouldn’t happen soon.

Apparently, a tech company has finally heeded that long-awaited technological breakthrough and has taken the first step toward making wireless charging for desktops and laptops happen. A fledgling tech company called WiTricity will launch its wireless charging technology starting with Dell laptops. Basically, Dell laptops started this technological revolution in laptop charging; However, they didn’t gain as much media mileage as the iPhone 7’s airpods or the wireless charging capabilities of the latest smartphones. Wireless charging for laptops takes the form of a charging mat, which will only transmit battery power if the laptop is placed on it. Kind of like the wireless charging feature of smartphones.

However, what would be really innovative is if they make wireless charging work even from a distance, just like Bluetooth speakers and headphones.

Wireless External Hard Drives

External hard drives have been one of the arsenals to combat insufficient storage space on your laptops or desktops. Especially for those who use Macbooks or Ultrabooks, which only have a limited amount of storage space, not enough to carry an entire movie collection. Although external hard drives have solved most of our storage space problems efficiently, what better way to make the experience that much better than doing it wirelessly.

My Passport Wireless is the next step in the evolution of the external hard drives we use today. From the name itself, you can literally sync, transfer, and have your computer read files untethered. These state of the art external hard drives use the latest wireless means of technology which are called wireless N and MIMO technology.

To keep things simple, Wireless N is the next generation wireless networking standard used by WiFi routers. It is basically the technology that picks up the wireless signals from WiFi routers. However, Wireless N is much faster in terms of transfer speed. On the other hand, MIMO technology stands for Multiple Input, Multiple Output. It is basically an antenna that allows the device to be a transmitter and receiver of data transmitted wirelessly. This technology made it possible for My Passport Wireless to become not only a wireless storage device, but also a Wi-Fi hub.

My Passport Wireless is a bit bulkier than the traditional external hard drive because it has a built-in 3400 mAh battery. On top of that, it has a microSD slot and a USB 3.0 port for those who still prefer to do it with a cable.

Wireless-HDMI

Watching a movie from a smartphone or laptop has already integrated wireless technology into the experience for quite some time. With that in mind, it’s about time we got our hands on wireless HDMI too. This is basically the replacement for the HDMI cable that we commonly use today for our DVRs, Blue Ray players, or game consoles. This technology comes in the form of an adapter, which you can simply plug into the HDMI port of the device where you want to project your screen. That adapter will then transmit a signal to compatible wireless devices, like your smartphone, DVR, laptop, and the like. Simply pair with it and you’re good to go.

Unfortunately, wireless HDMIs have yet to hit the mainstream market for reasons that mostly revolve around incompatibility. However, once it’s fully developed to fully cater to the mainstream market, there’s really no reason why you should refrain from getting this. Not only will it untangle you from the need to use a cable, but the range of your source device will be less of a factor from then on, if your BlueRay player is in the next room, that would no longer be an issue.

We now live in an era of wireless communication. Whether it is a communication between two people talking or an electronic device working together with another. There is no other way for us to move towards greater innovation than to go wireless. And, with the launch of iPhone 7, that feat has just been bolstered with the introduction of a plug-free audio experience. Now, with iPhone 7’s all-wireless policy, there’s even more reason for its users to lead the wireless revolution in full disclosure.
