Trip

Very early in life we ​​began to travel. We first travel from our mother’s womb into the wide and wonderful world we now inhabit. Then we travel home from the hospital, if we were born in a hospital. We travel a lot during the years we live at home. We go to school. We go with our parents on vacation. We go to camps. We found all kinds of places to go and explore.

When we leave home and start making a living, we will travel as much or as little as necessary. You can travel alone to and from work, except during vacation time. Or you can find ways to spend every available moment traveling to one place or another. It really depends on how curious you are about the rest of the world and what people are doing there.

Most of us have a car and use it a lot. In addition to the necessary commuting, it can be a lot of fun to get in the car and go exploring.

I remember how excited I was when I got my first driver’s license and how upset I was that my dad wouldn’t let me have the family car. We only had one car and it was hard for me to accept that mom and dad could need it when it was so important to me to have it to explore here and there.

I am very lucky in that I travel all over the world professionally. It is a true passion of mine. I love to explore the world. Wherever I need to go for work, I always try to rent a car and explore as much of the country and its surroundings as time allows. For me, driving and being in control of where and when to go is the best. Personally, I don’t like tours or being with groups of people other than those of my choosing.

So for me, traveling by car is great and definitely one of my favorite ways to see the world and sometimes scare the natives.

air travel

Obviously I have to spend a lot of my travel in airports and airplanes. When I became a musician I knew I would travel a lot. I had colleagues constantly complaining about airports, security, customs, airplanes, etc. I decided early on that since it was going to be a part of my life, it was foolish not to enjoy it.

I have found ways to have fun in airports. For example, there is always a bookstore and that will keep me entertained for a long time. There are also loads of people who are fun to watch and try to figure out where they are going and why. Then there are the staff members who are usually very friendly and can be very helpful.

I love the plane. There are endless things you can do these days during the flight. Even customs can be interesting if you just watch people and try to figure out who is trying to smuggle something in or out.
