How to build a hydrogen generator

Reduce your expenses and at the same time help environmentalists. That is the benefit of the hydrogen generator, which has often been considered as a cleaner substitute for oil, which will revolutionize the entire automobile industry throughout the world and put an end to the daily tension on gasoline prices, rather to the increase in gasoline prices, to be more precise

The result of the hydrogen generator is immense. It not only produces water on combustion, which means no pollution at all, but also improves gas mileage.

A hydrogen generator is already in use in laboratories for the supply of high purity hydrogen. The hydrogen generated from this is 99.99% pure. They are small in size and weight, typically occupying 1 to 2 square feet of bench space and weighing 30 to 60 pounds. Few hydrogen generators require the addition of a caustic solution to produce hydrogen gas, but most others only require deionized or distilled water. Generators that use only water are more desirable as they reduce the risks of handling more chemicals. A hydrogen generator must be carefully built with proper leak detectors, as hydrogen is highly flammable.

We can easily make a hydrogen generator in our houses; whose procedure is indicated below. It is this concept that scientists want to apply in the manufacture of cars that run on hydrogen.

Necessary things: scissors, bottles, knife, carpenter’s pencil, telephone cable, hot glue, glue gun, tubes, electrodes, valve

Step 1 – Cut the top of a 2-liter plastic bottle and the bottom of two 20-ounce plastic bottles using scissors. Cut the largest bottle enough so that the two smaller bottles fit comfortably inside it. Be sure to retain the screw caps on the bottles.

Step 2 – Use a sharp utility knife to carefully cut away the wooden casing of the pencil, leaving it with only the carbon graphite lead shaft. Break the lead into two separate but equal pieces using your knife.

Step 3: Strip approximately ¼ inch of insulation from two 12-inch telephone wires with wire strippers before stripping an additional 2 inches of insulation from opposite ends.

Step 4: Wrap the exposed copper of the phone cord at the 2-inch end around the ends of the pencil tip and secure in place with a dab of hot glue.

Step 5 – Use a drill to punch holes in the center of the two small soda bottle caps and attach a 24-inch-long plastic aquarium tube. Secure it in place by dabbing some hot glue around the perimeter of the inner and outer hole. Once dry, put the caps back on the bottles by screwing them into place.

Step 6 – Attach the electrodes with the wire attached to the bottom of the two small soda bottles using hot glue to secure in place. Place the small bottles inside the large soda bottle and hot glue them in place so they don’t move.

Step 7: Place a 2 to 1 aquarium mixer value on the free ends of the tubing before connecting the electrode leads to the correct terminals on a 12 volt battery. It may be an idea to label the positive lead “Anode Oxygen” and the negative lead “Cathode Hydrogen”.

If the above model can be used in automobiles, major global problems such as global warming and exhaustible energy sources (fossil fuels) that are rapidly depleted can be addressed.
