“Home sweet home” is a proverb that everyone likes and agrees with. Nobody wants to leave their home, which is the other name of paradise on this earth. But each of us has to leave our hometown temporarily for many reasons, such as education, vacation, earning a living, or business travel, etc.

A hotel is a building that offers lodging, meals, and other services on a commercial basis. Inns have existed in ancient times to serve merchants and other travelers. The expansion of travel in the eighteenth century due to industrial resolution stimulated the development of inns. In 1889 the Savoy Hotel in London set a new standard with its own electricity and special services.

The modern hotel is largely the result of the railways. After World War II, new hotels tended to be larger and were often built near airports. Hotel chains became common, making purchases, sales, and reservations more efficient.
The hotels are divided into three categories, that is, transient hotels, tourist hotels that are basically intended for vacationers and the third category which is residential hotels, essentially apartment buildings that offer rooms and catering services.

There are particular rating systems for hotels and they are as diversified as countries are. For example, hotels in the UK are rated according to a Quality Rating System. In Spain, the government tourism authority regulates the system.

A number of criteria (room sizes, dining options, services, entertainment facilities) must be met to earn a star rating.

Hotels are classified as follows:

One or two star hotels are hotels where they provide you with a very clean environment and are cheap.
Three-star hotels have air conditioning, refrigerator, telephone and 24-hour internet in their rooms. Four and five star hotels are the luxury hotels that provide royal treatment to their guests. These hotels have facilities like a travel desk that helps guests organize and manage city tours for them and private rental vehicles, etc.
Therefore, one can easily select a hotel for oneself whenever one wants to relax in a different environment and be pampered away from a world of business calls, meetings, and conferences, etc. The best thing is that one can get a package of their own choice at the hotel they want or can stay at. And if you’re on an official tour, there’s no need to worry, as the company will pay for it.
