The argument for having exotic animals

Any.

None.

Hey?

Okay, take a deep breath. What am I talking about? It’s pretty easy. A person should not be able to have an exotic animal as a pet. The reasons are pretty simple, but there are other things to consider as well. But we will get to that.

So who should have an exotic animal? I am of the belief that exotic animals belong to zoos, rescue facilities and, to tell the truth, I have nothing against circuses. When the circus follows the regulations, it cares about its animals and shows concern for their general well-being. The same argument could be applied to zoos. In fact, I thank the zoos, thanks to them we will still be able to see tigers, rhinos, etc. Now when it comes to rescue facilities, the answer is obvious, you will always need them. The owners won’t let them go without a fight, and some zoos and circuses aren’t ideal.

Exotic animals are a necessary part not only of society, but also of the ecological fabric of the world. Everything is a question of the balance of nature. It is an argument that many of us have heard since we were children. Now don’t get this article wrong, it’s not about not hunting and letting animal populations get out of control (deer, rats, etc.). This is due to the fact that many animals have been literally hunted to extinction, in certain countries and in general.

What kind of world could this end up being without having exotic animals? Poachers take, take, take, not thinking that one day all the animals might disappear. Poachers live in the moment and do not believe that exotic animals can be used in a positive way for their homeland. Don’t endorse that idea on safaris? Okay, you’re still scratching your head, I can understand. Let me try to clarify that.

If people have the ability to find exotic animals, in the wild, to hunt, then why not open the land to view? Why can’t a country understand that bringing people, from other countries, to see animals in their habitat is more worthwhile than continually polishing them? I realize that you can’t do this for every rare animal in the wild, but can’t you make the animals work for your benefit?

That is also an important reason to discourage private animal ownership. Exotic animals should be used for the benefit of people, for pleasure or for their own environment. That is why zoos are an integral part, not only can we see these animals up close, the respected city benefits from them because many tourists enjoy visiting zoos.

This is not a call to arms for animal rights. As meat, I have no problem with hunters, I know that scientific experiments are an integral part. This is a call to conscience, exotic animals deserve the opportunity to flourish in nature or in a facility where they will be fully cared for because it benefits not only nature but our own economy.

And there is another important element to consider …

With so many nice cats and dogs in need of a home, go adopt one of them.
