Yamuna Authority plots

In the heart of the Yamuna Expressway, there is a major business center which has many businesses to offer leisure facilities to the visitors. The most important thing about the road is that it is in close proximity to major cities such as Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne. With the growth in the technology sector in the last few years, many people from all across the country and overseas come to work in the various multinational companies located here. This creates huge traffic problems and a big environmental impact.

There are three major toll roads on the whole route and they are the stretch of railway and the stretch of motorway. The expressway also forms part of the Pacific Motorway System (PMS), which was expanded to cover the whole length and breadth of Australia. The PMS contains the North Queensland Motorway (NQM) and the South East Queensland Motorway (SEQM). The total length of Yamuna Expressway is 5 kilometers. At the northern end, the Yamuna Expressway has two toll stations including the “Tech Zone” which is in the centre of the road.

The “Tech Zone” offers a wide range of electronic shops, computer work stations, fax/data connections and various other business services. This is a good attraction for the visitor who will get some valuable experience and tips on how to use these facilities and areas. The other toll station is “North Central Road”. This is the common area maintenance charges end and it is located at the southern end of the Yamuna Expressway. There is a bus terminal facility as well as a facility for taxis and luxury buses coming into the city.

The third toll station is “Tech East Road”. It is situated at the eastern end of the expressway and this is where all those persons who drive private cars will get charged for their use. All automobile owners who use the Yamuna Road toll expressway will be charged for the ownership of their automobiles when using them in the toll stations. There are many persons who own large trucks who use the common area maintenance charges to charge their trucks when using the facility.

The growth drivers of the city include the South Western Freeway (SHFF), the North Central Freeway (NCF) and the Central Freeway (CVB). The SHFF is primarily used to connect the cities of Queroz, Tapolca and Santa Monica with those of Los Angeles and Long Beach. The CVB is another major artery that links the cities of Burbank and Oxnard to the rest of the state. The growth drivers for the cities have created an atmosphere in which the Yamuna Expressway has served its function satisfactorily.
