The city of Dalaran is the center of Northrend, where both the Horde and the Alliance can roam and go about their business in peace. Underneath is the most vulnerable part of the city, the Dalaran sewers. This is where most goblins live. It’s the slums of Dalaran, but it’s also where the Northrend sand map is located.

The map has many unique features that are unlike any other arena map. The design itself begins with you in a drainage pipe at the far end of the map, somewhat above the ground. When the match starts, he will either jump out of the pipe or get blown up after a certain period of time. Once on the ground, you will notice that the center of the map is a raised square shaped part with stairs right where it unfolds and 2 sets of boxes on each side. The map is also a mirror image for your opponents. The last big thing to watch out for is the large waterfall that will fall in the middle of the elevated platform every now and then. This is treated as a line of sight object, so be prepared for it. If you are near him when he falls, you will be knocked down.

Using the boxes as a base of operations for those who need a line-of-sight item is perfect. Healers will often want to hug these who only come out to quickly cast and then duck behind them. When facing a heavy-ranged group, even your dps won’t want to stray too far from these boxes, as being trapped outdoors in an explosive moment can prove fatal.

Be aware of the edges of the raised parts in the center so you don’t accidentally fall or get hit by an elemental shaman during a critical moment. Even getting off on one side will give you a LOS moment in a critical situation. But being on the bottom while a pitcher is on the edge gives them free range from you and can be another fatal move if they catch you in a bad spot. All of these factors will need to be considered by you and your team to be in control of the game.
