Sculpture
Sculptures are often made from two different materials. The first type is made from natural stone and is called “natural stone sculpture.” The second type of natural stone sculpture is called “modelled sculpture”. In the case of modeled sculptures, the sculptor uses a soft, malleable material and builds it over an armature. The third type is made from a hard material such as plastic, fiberglass, or rubber. Once a piece is both high and low-relief, it is known as bas-relief sculpture.
