1. Turn off the TV or exercise while watching TV

Have you ever gone to the movies and ordered the big tub of buttered popcorn and a big soda? Well, it’s amazing how easily you can chew through the entire tub and drink the drink without a second thought. For some reason, their natural behavior is to keep eating until it’s gone. So of course if there are free recharges you should take advantage of them because it’s free right?

Now, when you’re home, your eating habits are probably the same, just not as noticeable. Instead of the big unhealthy tub of popcorn, you might get some chips and soda, some ice cream, or maybe a slice of cake, or whatever your favorite snack is. The problem is that it is difficult to stop because it is very convenient to get there.

Suggestions to control television feeding and lose weight;

  • Turn off the TV, go for a walk, or maybe finish one of the home projects on your to-do list.
  • Work out on a treadmill or stationary bike while watching the subway.
  • Keep all the food you eat during the TV session in front of you. You may be in the habit of going to the kitchen to throw away empty snack wrappers and bottles, but you’ll probably grab another snack on the way back. Limit your trips to where the food is, and you won’t be tempted to grab another item that won’t help you lose weight.

Treat it as if you were taking a prescription drug. If you do this, you’ll find that your craving for sugary drinks will lessen over time.

5. Eat more often

I know this weight loss tip is weird, but don’t laugh too hard. Studies have shown that if you eat every three hours you will have more energy, you will not feel hungry and therefore you will avoid overeating when you have the opportunity to eat. For example, skipping breakfast may make you feel like you’re making progress toward your weight loss goal, but by the end of the day you’ll likely have consumed more snacks and regular meals than you would if you had eaten breakfast.

Eating on a regular schedule, including a good mix of protein, fat, fiber, and carbohydrates, is one of the most important weight loss tips.

I know losing weight can be frustrating at times when you think you’re doing the right thing but you don’t see results. I suggest you keep going because the only way to fail is if you stop trying to eat healthy and do any kind of exercise to lose weight.
