BlackBerry Curve 8530 is a CDMA mobile phone that has been introduced with a next generation processor, an optical trackpad and a dedicated media control, as well as a very important feature that is not even in BlackBerry Tour: Wi-Fi.
Despite not having high-end features in the 8530 curve, it offers many good feature sets more than its competitor – T-Mobile. This mobile phone is also equipped with an integrated attachment viewer. You can open Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Corel, Word Perfect, PDF, JPEG and GIFT files.
With dual-band CDMA 800/1900; EV-DO, you’ll experience clear, loud audio with very little noise and almost no distortion. Based on my experience, you will never find a dropped call and still hear the clear voice even in a noisy street.
For high-speed Internet access, the curve 8530 has a 3G network. It makes your connection easy and fast. For example: it only takes 60 seconds to download a 2.4 MB song. In addition, it is also equipped with a 1,115 mAh battery with a nominal talk time of 4.5 hours and up to 10.5 days of standby time.
Finally, although the Curve 8530 is said to be more of an entry-level device, there are plenty of useful features to be found on this Blackberry, including Wi-Fi which isn’t included on the Tour; and other features including a next-generation processor, optical trackpad, and dedicated media control.
