Most people don’t like to take risks. They don’t even initiate opportunities, for fear of losing or the change that this implies. People are afraid of taking ownership of the situation, whether it is a good situation or a bad situation. And, if it’s a bad situation, it’s the blame game they play.

Personal leadership involves taking a calculated risk. Now that you are well equipped, why fear the risk, be confident and execute it, take advantage of it. Obstacles will be there by overcoming them with courage. Courage is a key factor for success. Build courage in yourself, take the initiative, own the situations, there are preventive and corrective actions to expel yourself successfully.

Courage is doing what you are afraid to do. There can be no courage unless you are afraid.

Eliminate fear! The best way to control or overcome fear is to face it with mental strength and determination.

When you are in a difficult phase to make an important decision, look at everything as objects; most importantly your relationships, your family, friends, co-workers; then weigh the pros and cons, the fear factor will kick in. Think beyond. Don’t be afraid of people, of society. Imagine facing fear; bravely get over it.

The time to take counsel from your fears is before making an important battle decision. That’s the time to listen to all the fears you can imagine! When you have collected all the facts and fears and have made your decision, turn off all your fears and go for it!
