I chose this particular model because I was looking for one that was in the middle of the road, so to speak. My favorite attributes of this L&L oven were that it is very easy to use, highly productive, very versatile, and very reliable.
1. Easy to use
The L&L Easy-Fire Ceramic Kiln is very easy to use. Fully automated in fact. It is a top-loading oven, with a lid that is very easy to lift and is attached with stainless steel clips that offer a more secure lid compared to other ovens. The most important feature that makes this oven stand out, when it comes to ease of use, is the dynamic zone control. This control system has 4 preset programs, 6 user-defined programs. The delay time allows you to control when the oven starts and stops. You can easily adjust your firings and it allows you to control the end of your ceramic firing. Plus, L&L ovens are designed from the ground up so you can easily maintain them yourself without special tools. I consider this to be a great benefit for me. I don’t have to guess how long to fire my ceramic for my soy candles, it’s all on schedule. Just set it and forget it.
2. Productivity is second to none
The L&L Easy-Fire Ceramic Kiln is also very productive. Perfect cooking is possible at all times with the control system. No more tedious and inaccurate manual switch settings because the system is fully automated. The sight glasses are a full one inch in diameter and are not tapered so they break much less. This kiln gets hot enough to fire stoneware and porcelain up to cone 10. It is also very productive because it has three different levels, all of which can be fired at different temperature levels.
3. Extremely reliable
L&L Easy-Fire ceramic kilns are also very reliable. It is actually one of the most durable ovens ever made. Dyna-Glow ceramic element holders are best in class and protect the firebrick, provide better heat distribution, protect the element and result in much longer oven life. One of the reasons L&L kilns last so long is that the brick is hardened with a special coating and hardener. With no shortcuts in construction, every facet of the L&L Easy-Fire oven is meticulously constructed with maximum protection and long life in mind.
My experience with the L&L Easy-Fire Ceramic Kiln for my soy candles has been really nice. It is extremely easy to use and very durable. I highly recommend this model and I can see why it is the most popular oven they have.
