Eyeliner is a must for people with small eyes. With eyeliner, even the smallest eyes can appear big. However, applying eyeliner requires some technique. The drawn line should not be too dark and rough.

There are several types of eyeliner in stores today. The 3 types are namely liquid eyeliner, pencil eyeliner and gel eyeliner.

All three types of eyeliner work the same way, only the liquid and gel type are less complicated in that you don’t need to sharpen your eyeliner. Some people will prefer to have the better grip type of pencil as they find it easier to draw their lines as if they were drawing on paper.

First, choose the type of eyeliner you want to work on. I usually recommend liquid eyeliner as the fine tip makes it easy for beginners to draw the eye line.

Keep the skin of your upper eyelid taut. Apply the liquid eyeliner starting from the inner corner of the eye working outwards. Try applying a light stroke.

If you are a beginner in using eyeliner, you may have a hard time drawing a nice line. In that case, you may want to split your line into two sections. Draw from the inner corner of the eye to the middle, and then tie off from the middle to the end.

Remember to keep your line as close to the lash line as possible to create a natural look!

And if you fail on your first try, don’t be discouraged. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect, after a few tests, you’ll be as good as a pro.
