A charity auction is coming up and you’re wondering what to tweet? Or maybe you just want to help out a charity you love by spreading the word on Twitter?

Regardless of your motive, here are some ideas for modeling. I see great tweets related to profit auctions all the time on Twitter and pulled a few to get your juice flowing. (As a snap, does this count as an RT (retweet)? I’m not sure what a tweet to blog communication is called.)

1. You can tweet about the donations received.

2. You can Tweet about the donations received, while emphasizing the donor. This tweet does a good job of announcing the donor while promoting their business and thanking them.

3. Thank your sponsors.

5. Or tweet to tell the trials and tribulations of managing incoming donations. This Rotary Club is writing an intelligent story about its experiences. I can’t wait to read the next installment!

6. This is a smart way to advertise the charity you support, while also advertising your business and / or hobby for pay.
