Many people wondered how Tom Brady recovered after undergoing knee surgery that left him out for the entire 2008-2009 season. It started well against Buffalo, but no one expected the Bills to be good, so that wasn’t a huge surprise. In weeks 2 to 5 he played poor or average. Many fantasy football owners were beginning to worry. I made a great trade last season to acquire Brady in my goalkeeping league. He had begun to think that the trade was a failure. I have Eli Manning on my bench and came close to making him my daily starter.

Any concerns about Brady should be put aside after his record-breaking performance this weekend. He had 5 touchdowns in the second quarter alone. He had 350 passing yards in the first half. His final stat line was 380 passing yards and 6 touchdowns. He played a series in the second half because the score was 52-0. The most surprising part of this performance was the weather conditions.

It was minus 30 degrees and it was SNOWING! If you were looking at this stat line, you would have thought it was being played in a dome against a pee team. The Titans had no answer for Brady and the Patriots. Brady owners can only hope this is a sign of things to come. I can tell you one thing, if he can keep doing good numbers then he could easily save my fantasy football season.
